One-Day ND Destinations

My flagship column at KX News Bismarck. A series of stories focused on highlighting the unique places and people of western North Dakota, featuring interviews and pictures.

The Weekend BRB

The Weekend BRB (Brendan Rodenberg Beat) served as my main year-round column at KX News, and focuses on events local to the Bismarck-Mandan community. Each piece mixes event history with interviews and on-site photography to help create a full picture.

Gaming Columns

Throughout my Gaming Columns on KX News, I was able to fuse two of my hobbies to create pieces that are both educational and informative. While a majority of these pieces consist of price guides, others feature stories about peculiar moments in gaming history and interviews with professional gamers and designers.

The Green Room

While the column was originally created for longer interviews with guests on KX's morning show, over time, it grew to encompass entertainers of all stripes- including dueling piano group Deuces Wild and the legendary folk icon Judy Collins.

Ghost Towns of North Dakota

In my first full-length feature piece, I visited the ghost town of Arena, ND, to take photographs and discover what drove people out of the area to begin with. I was almost arrested over the course of my trip, but that's another story...
